William "Bill" Giovanniello

August 14, 1965 - February 13, 2022

William V. "Bill" Giovanniello, 56, of Morganville, passed away unexpectedly on February 13, 2022, at Bayshore Medical Center in Holmdel, NJ. Bill was born on August 14, 1965, in Brooklyn, NY. He was raised in Holmdel and attended Holmdel public schools. He played on the varsity baseball team for Holmdel High School. In 1987, he graduated from Stockton State College in Pomona, NJ, earning a Bachelor's degree in accounting. During his senior year, he interned at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing in Washington, DC. Bill started his accounting career at Amper, Politziner & Mattia in Edison, NJ and worked his way up to Supervisor. He then worked for BDO, LLP for over 20 years, first in New York City and later Woodbridge, NJ as a Managing Director for Transaction Advisory Services. Bill was also a proud member of the Scholarship Committee of the New Jersey Turnaround Management Association (NJTMA). In 1989, Bill met his future wife, Carolyn Cinter, while dancing to "What I Like About You" by The Romantics. They were married on August 28, 1993. They were blessed with two children and raised their family in Morganville, NJ. Bill was soft-spoken, easygoing and humble yet cheerful and goofy. He loved the boardwalk, playing skeeball, eating pizza- his favorite food, watching sitcoms like Hogan's Heroes and Seinfeld, listening to The Who and Bruce Springsteen, and watching Mets games. Bill was a devoted son who loved and supported his parents in every way. He was selfless and dedicated his life to his wife and children. He loved coaching his children's sports teams through Marlboro Recreation, including soccer, basketball, and baseball, and served on the board for Marlboro Little League and St. Clement's Athletic Association. He loved spending time with family including traveling, most recently to Italy, cruising, attending Jets games, tossing the football and baseball, shooting hoops, and hiking on local trails. Bill is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn, of 28 years; daughter, Jennifer; son, Ryan; parents, Bill and Fran Giovanniello; brother, Michael Giovanniello; sister, Denise Hovanec, and her husband Kurt; and their children Nicholas and Amelia; and aunt, Sunny Nicora. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Visitation will be held Sunday, February 20, 2022, from 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm at Waitt Funeral Home, 501 Hwy 79, Morganville, NJ. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, February 21, 2022, 10:00 am at St. Clement Church, 172 Freneau Ave, Matawan, NJ. Burial to follow at the Marlboro Memorial Cemetery, 361 Hwy 79, Marlboro, NJ.
