Marie Adelaide Enderley

March 26, 1932 - November 2, 2021

Marie Enderley of Aberdeen Township passed away on November 2, 2021 at the age of 89. Born in Brooklyn, New York to Giovanni and Anna Gallo, both from Italy. She lived a wonderful life with her beloved husband of 54 years, William H. Enderley, and their two children, William and Eve. Marie was raised in Brooklyn with her six brothers and sisters. After graduating from Washington Irving High School she worked in Administration for Nabisco in Manhattan. In 1959 she moved to the Bronx to begin a new life with her husband Bill and start a family. In 1962 she moved to Aberdeen, NJ where she spent the rest of her years, raising her children, forming friendships and working for the township. Marie was so fortunate to travel extensively, from cruises in the Mediterranean, to Egypt, to Alaska and more including a hot air balloon ride that was one of her many highlights in her life. Marie liked to bowl, embroider, knit, sew, solve crosswords, refinish furniture, play dominoes and Scrabble. She loved NYC and all it's Broadway shows, and ballet, and concerts, and museums. She also loved the simple things like good pizza and a good laugh. In her later years she enjoyed volunteering at a local school where she read to young children. Her greatest joy was her beloved grandchildren with whom she instilled so many wonderful virtues and everlasting love. Marie and Bill were blessed with a circle of close family and cherished friends. If you knew them, you adored them. Beautiful Marie will be most remembered for her sweet smile that was full of kindness, gentleness, thoughtfulness and love. Marie will be greatly missed by her son, William John Enderley and daughter, Eve Enderley Stewart and Michael Stewart; her granddaughter Jacqueline Enderley Stewart and grandson Michael William Stewart; sister-in-laws Louise Gallo and Barbara Enderley Berglund, Carmela Corrado-Gallo ; Sixteen beloved nieces and nephews and their families; Ann Stewart and countless dear friends; and her cherished grand-dogs Blue Sky and George.
