Margaret Magee

Margaret Stensvad Magee, 102, of Morganville, NJ passed away on January 12, 2022. She was born in Gothenburg, Sweden on May 11, 1919, her parents were Sigmund and Johny (Perrson) Stensvad. Margaret came to the United States in 1924 through Ellis Island with her parents. She lived in Brooklyn, New York; Staten Island, New York; Hoboken, NJ and Spotswood, NJ before moving to Morganville, NJ in 1947. Margaret worked as a cashier for J.J. Newberry in Keyport before retiring in 1984. She was a member of the Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Keyport, NJ where she had many friends. The photo of Margaret was taken at her 100th birthday party, where her family celebrated their love for her, and she gave back her love for her family. She was predeceased by her parents; her loving husband, Kenneth Magee; sister, Elsie Stensvad, Lillian Stensvad Callahan; and her granddaughter, Sandra Lynn Burlew-Boyan Margaret is survived by her daughter, Judith (Kenneth) Burlew; son, Dennis Magee; daughter, Marilyn (John) Brush; seven grandchildren; Dennis Magee Jr and wife Heidi, Kristen Burlew Schlechtweg and husband Robert, David Burlew, William Magee and wife Roseann, James Magee, Matthew Winikates and Andrew Patterson; and 10 Great-Grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
