John J Gaasbeck

November 24, 1953 - January 30, 2022

John J. Gaasbeck, 68, of Bayville, NJ/Newark, DE, born to John A. Gaasbeck and Rosemarie A. Gaasbeck, departed this life, peacefully, on January 30, 2022, with his family by his side. He leaves a huge hole in the hearts of his family and friends who were always entertained by his stories and sense of humor. John was an avid lover of music, sports, trivia, and getting a laugh out of anyone he talked to. He was especially fond of his frequent phone conversations with his Uncle Manny and Aunt Anita over the years; they brought him such joy. John was predeceased by his parents, and his brother, Richard Gaasbeck, but leaves behind his beloved family; his wife, Rose Marie Gaasbeck, of Lewes, DE; his son, Thomas Gaasbeck, of Rehoboth Beach, DE; and his daughter, Beth Gaasbeck, of Philadephia, PA; his sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Clint Williams, of Old Bridge, NJ; his brother, Kenny Gaasbeck, of Bayville, NJ; and his very loving Aunt and Uncle, Anita and Emanuel Capogna, of Staten Island, NY; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and lifelong friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at 11:00 am, Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 90 Leonardine Avenue, South River, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to John's favorite charity, the ASPCA. https://secure.aspca.org/donate/memorial
