John Frentzko
July 21, 1931 - February 28, 2022
John Frentzko, age 90, of Manalapan, died peacefully at home surrounded by his family on February 28, 2022. Born and raised in Jersey City, John was the son of Max and Ksenia nee: Yankowicz Frentzko. John worked at Inland Steel Container Company in Jersey City for many years before retiring. A veteran, John served our country honorably with the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Holy Name Society for St. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Church in Jersey City. He was also a member of the Friday night bowling league and spent many a Monday night calling Bingo at the parish hall. John loved to vacation with his family down on the Jersey Shore, and as the only driver in the family, he packed everyone in the family station wagon and took them all to Seaside to enjoy their vacations. He moved to the Covered Bridge Condominiums in Manalapan 25 years ago and continued to enjoy trips to Atlantic City, Wildwood and Lake George. John was perpetually positive, sunny and kind, taking daily long walks in the neighborhood greeting EVERYONE during each walk. After 56 years of marriage John was predeceased by his wife Dorothy in 2011. The last of his siblings, John was also predeceased by his brothers and sisters, Pete, Al, Josie, Michael and Anna. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Michael Frentzko and Cathlyn Driscoll and Brian and Laura Migneco-Frentzko, his daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Robert Gutch, grandchildren, Christian and his wife Jennifer, David, Brianna, Daniel, Matthew, Evan and Anastasia, great grandchildren, Mila Rose and Reagan Joy. Family and friends are invited to remember John during visitation on Thursday. March 3, 2022 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Waitt Funeral Home, 501 Route 79, Morganville, NJ. Everyone is asked to gather at 10:00 AM at the Ukranian Catholic Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 684 Alta Vista Place, Perth Amboy, on Friday, March 4, 2022 for the celebration of Mass. Interment with military honors will follow Mass at the Ukrainian Catholic Church Cemetery, S Florida Grove Road, Perth Amboy, In Lieu of flowers John's family has requested donations in his memory be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma society at: https://givenow.lls.org/
