JoAnn Donnelly

June 24, 1951 - May 25, 2022

JoAnn H. Donnelly of Colts Neck passed away Wednesday May 25th at Centre State Hospital in Freehold following a lengthy illness. JoAnn was born June 24th 1951 in Long Branch NJ to Charles and Marion Herriger. JoAnn is a 1969 Graduate of Mater Dei High School and Obtained her Teaching Degree from Trenton State College in 1973, she also acquired a Masters Degree from Rutgers University in 1985,JoAnn was a Teacher for the Matawan/Aberdeen School District, a career that spanned four decades,during JoAnn's time as a teacher she established a reputation as a dedicated educator who was able to instill in her students a life long love of learning . Upon her retirement, she volunteered her time and services freely to organizations such as the Saint Vincent DePaul Society as well as the Local Reading Buddies Program. During her leisure time JoAnn enjoyed reading,attending Broadway plays and spending her summers on Squam Lake in New Hampshire. JoAnn is predeceased by her parents Charles and Marion Herriger of Keyport. JoAnn is survived by her husband of Forty Five years, Joseph of Colts Neck, a brother Thomas Herriger and his wife Candy of Howell, two nieces Kim Croson of Howell, Holly Herriger of Beach Haven and a nephew Doug Herriger of Brick. Visitation will be on Tuesday, May, 31th from 3:00pm to 7:00pm at Bedle Funeral Home. 212 Main Street, Matawan, NJ 07747 Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday June, 1st starting at 10:00am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Keyport, NJ. Burial will be at St.Joseph Cemetery in Keyport, NJ
