Henry A. Kohler

Henry A. Kohler, 87, of Morganville and Jupiter Florida, died peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday April 21, 2022. He was the son of Henry L. and Gladys Allen Kohler. Born and raised in Newark Henry lived in Clark for many years before moving to Morganville. He also had a home in Jupiter, Florida where he enjoyed many winters over the years. While in Clark, Henry was a member of the Clark First Aid Squad. He was a lineman for Public Service Electric and Gas, Irvington until he retired and then continued as a consultant with them after retirement. He enjoyed playing golf and loved traveling with his wife. Together they traveled to China, Spain, Ireland and England as well as many locations across the United States. He was also a parishioner of Saint Clement Church, Matawan. Above all else Henry was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He loved being with his family and especially his grandchildren. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Henry is survived by his wife Patricia of 67 years whom he met when he was 13 years old on a summer trip to Rahway Park. He is also survived by his children and their spouses, son Robert A. and Laura Kohler, daughters, Kathy and Kevin Kerrigan and Susan and Kevin McGuril and grandchildren, Daniel, Kelly and her husband Tyler, Cassandra, Brandon and Caitlyn. Visitation will from 4:00 to 6:00 PM on Monday April 25, 2022 at the Waitt Funeral Home, 501 Hwy 79 Morganville, followed by his funeral service at 6:00 PM. Burial with military honors will be held at the Brig. General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Arneytown, NJ on Monday May 2, 2022 at 11:30 AM. memorial donations in Henry's memory should be made to the: Wounded Warrior Project at: https://support.woundedwarriorproject.org/default.aspx?tsid=10043, or to the National Federation for the Blind at :https://nfb.org/contribute/give
