Dolly Miceli

August 18, 1928 - November 30, 2021

Dolly Miceli, 93 of Morganville, formerly of Brick and Jersey City died on Tuesday November 30, 2021 at Centra State Medical Center, Freehold Township, NJ. Born and raised in Jersey City, Dolly was the daughter of the late Frank and Angela Aloi. Dolly met and married the late Joseph Miceli in 1948 and they shared 61 years together before his death in 2009. Dolly and Joe loved to travel and spent time in Italy, Spain and took numerous cruises together. An avid cook, Dolly enjoyed making her own home-made tomato sauce. She took up needlepoint and ceramics and enjoyed tending to her garden. While living in Brick she became a communicant of St. Martha's Roman Catholic Church in Point Pleasant and a very active resident of the Greenbriar II retirement community, including as a member of the social committee and choir. Though she kept herself busy with her hobbies, her main focus was her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dolly is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Louis and Donna Miceli, her daughter and son-in-law, Jane and Michael Taglietta and her son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Donna Miceli, her sister, Lena Mastria, 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 6:00 PM on Sunday December 5, 2021 at the Waitt Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 501 Route 79, Morganville, NJ. The funeral will begin from the funeral home on Monday December 6, 2021 at 9:00 AM followed by the Celebration of Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Clements Roman Catholic Church, 172 Freneau Ave, Matawan, NJ. Entombment will take place at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens, US Hwy 1, Woodbridge, NJ.
