We call her Nanay, mother in Filipino. She was a fiercely independent woman. She made sure to take care of herself and of her own. She did this for her siblings growing up as a dutiful child to her parents. She did this for her son, William, who grew up knowing her strong and steadfast love. She did this for the many relatives and friends to whom she warmly open her home. Then, unselfishly she flew halfway across the world, leaving everything familiar, to help raise her grandchildren, Andi and Zach. It must have been difficult for her, these past few years, when the ravages of time and illnesses took their toll on her. Yet, as always, she found strength knowing that she can rely on God's mercy and grace, of which she had always been sure of, ever since. And now that she has been called home to the loving arms of God, we wish her eternal peace, the reward for a life well lived. In Lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to St Ambrose R.C. church, Old Bridge, NJ.
